the number "666"? The number of the beast.  Be afraid.  Be very afraid.  Also what a New Zealander says when they're really really desperate.

The number 7 and 6 appear throughout the Bible as symbolic numbers. 7= holy/complete   6=unholy/incomplete.

The number 666 is 6-6-6 not six hundred and sixty six. 777 does not occur in the Bible, thats a modern day thing.

In the days the Bible was being written they used a base 6 number system. Because of this 6 would be written as 10 and 7 would be written as 11 and 6 would be written as 10 (using hebrew characters of course.)

11 = balanced number, two equal parts. They considered this even and rounded and therefore holy.

10 = unbalanced. Two different numbers. They would consider this imperfect.

The number nine is easy.  Three is supposed to be a powerful number (tv show with "power of three" ring a bell?  or how about the trinity?).  So, three threes, which is nine, is supposed to be more important than just plain old three.

Seven.  777 is the number of man, I think, according to the revelations.  Which, ta da, Satan is lower on the food chain and is only 666.  Ok, so that's not an exact quote, but it's close enough.  But the number of man is 777 and the number of the beast is 666 according to revelations.

Um, I've never heard any significance to 23- but it could be that it's the sum of three important numbers... three, seven and thirteen, and Phi...  do you mean pi, which is the unending number used to find the circumfrence of a circle?  Cuz, you may be mixing up your significance factor there.  It's a really significant number, but not in any way I've ever heard paranormal.....
