What is the reason for precognition?

precognition is like deja vu, but you see it before it happens.Just want to know why we can do that.And if you experience it then tell me.

It's called a self-fulfilling prophecy.  You form a pre-ideation of something and subconsciously move yourself toward that direction.  In other words, your actions follow your thoughts until you end up thinking something into existence.

However, bigger things, like, "I saw a plane crashing into LAX, then 2 days later it did" are more of a coincidence than anything else.

Before seeking a cause of a phenomenon it's usually best to establish that the phenomenon exists to begin with.  What makes you think it exists?  Have you experienced it?  Many times?  Were you able to predict details?  Did you write the details down before the event?

So-called precognition has never been documented.  It is nothing more than coincidence, creative/selective memory and confirmation bias.

I can't think of a reason as there is not one verifiable case of pre-cognition. To my knowledge, and that extends to the rest of the scientific community, nobody has been show to be pre-cognitive.

I find that it is useful in guiding people to where they need to be or where they are going. People are not always "overly honest" when they ask for help or they may not give you that one little detail you would need to solve the issue. Precognition allows you to zoom in on these things.

I had a feeling you'd ask that.Why because someone asks about it everyday.Which is all there is to it.Life is repetitious,coincidences are bound to happen.Any relation to psychic powers are imaginary.Or in some cases lies and distortions.No one can see the future.If they say they can they are lying or delusional.I challenge anyone to show verifiable documentation for precognition.

In the very simplest form it is nothing more than remembering the future.

I do it all the time and have for most of my life. It's not something I advertise to many, but it is my experience.

It can be a gift or a curse, same as seeing other life forms or hearing the whole life of an individual in the utterance of just one sound.

The responsibility that comes with the territory is keeping it under one's hat. I believe it to be more of a gift. Useful if you need to use it.

I hate admitting this one, but I'll be honest.  Psychologists have genuinely documented some accounts of precognition that cannot be attributed to coincidence or dumb luck.  I say I hate admitting this because I'm usually kinda strict with people in this forum who, through honest ignorance, believe in all sorts of total nonsense.  This one, however, has been documented.

The answer is:  No one knows why this happens, but most cases ARE coincidence.  A few are not.  It isn't like deja vu, which we understand.  This is one of those things that we just haven't yet learned how to study.

Very frustrating.  One thing to watch out for: Anyone who claims to be "precognitive".  No one has EVER demonstrated a verifiable ability to see future events upon demand.  Ever.  Lots of scammers are willing to take your $$$ if you'll believe they can, however.

Yeah. I think so. It happens a lot. Like just suddenly I'll say, "I think I've dremt of this!". Its as if somethings that happen to me were already revealed by a dream that I don't really remember but has a faint impression left in my memory that I was able to recognize it really is from a dream.

I don't know if how we can do that. May be its a power of the mind.

The answer is very simple! Precognition and intuition is your 'survival instinct' kicking in, letting you know when it is time to fight or flee. very reptilian.

Because everything happens in an ever present now.

Your subconscious mind is connected to everything in the universe (quanrum physicists call this entanglement), well since there is only one time (the ever present now) your subconscious mind is connected to those future events just as it is connected to everything in the universe.

Sometimes glimpses of those future events slips through into present consciousness.
