This Sunday I'm leaving to go to Choate Rosemary Hall for a summer program and as a sport I chose to do instructional tennis. I'll need to buy a tennis racquet and was wondering what brand is the best, what type, and how much will it cost. I have like no experience with tennis and am lost on what type of racquet to get. Can you please help me???? Thnx♥

  1. This is the best racquet for beginners i found when i began: Wilson Titanium Impact with Volcanic Frame Technology. I went from a beginner to 4.0 player in 8 months. It only costs around $30 too! It's amazing for a beginner to learn and grow as a player. Hope you decide on this one.

Good luck with your program and don't forget to have a lot of fun :D

  2. i think you can browse through more racquets on the internet (www.tennis-warehouse.com). i'd suggest Wilson K Factor K Zero and Wilson K Factor K One. they cost less than USD 300.

  3. Go and get some professional help from a Tennis pro at a shop. They will tell you which racquet is best for you depending on your level of competition (experience) and swing type.

  4. Well if you have never played this is a hard question to answer.

If you play and need to buy a new racket, you can go to a store that sells and usually try a racket out for a couple days (it is called demoing.)

If you are a beginner, I would simply go to a Sports Authority type place and ask them to point out a racket for beginners.

If you have never played, do not let them sell you something that costs more than about $80.

Usually Wilson rackets are the best for newcomers as well, so I would stick to that.
