if the limit approaches 2 and

x-2/x^2-9x+14

it is not 'Does not exist'.

  1. I think what ted was trying to say is that the bottom number can be factored. [x-2] / [ x² - 9x + 14] is equal to [x-2] / (x-7)(x-2). After that you can cancel out the (x-2). It is then equal to 1/(x-7), now you can simply substitute.


  2. if you say the limit approaches 2, the limit is 2. but i just put it in my graphing calculator and the limit doesn&#039;t exist.

  3. since the bottom is 0 if x = 2 what does that tell you about the factors?..{ - 1/5}...state the problem  as &#039; limit, as x tends to 2 , of [x-2] / [ x² - 9x + 14] is ? &#039;
