What is this Israeli thing?

This was a gift i think its jewish and/or from Israel but i have no idea what it's purpose is?

My first impression was a Torah pointer, but the tip is not crafted in the usual fashion, so I don't think that's what it is. Why do you think it's of Jewish origin?

it was probably used in herding the Palestinian people out of their homes like a herd of sheep.

Try asking about it and its purpose in another country; here in Israel it's not part of our Jewish culture!

Been thinking about it.  If you were to place white feathers in the clamp it could be used as a fan.

It reminds me of the feathers Egyptian eunuchs used to cover themselves in Pharaoh's harem.

It reminds of something egyptian.

In addition, it also looks like the wings of a dove.

According to the Jewish tradition, a dove carrying an olive branch is the symbol of peace.

But that's more of associations, than something I see here...

I have seen similar ones in one of our restaurants here in Norway.

They put this with flowers in a small vase, and they attach the "RESERVED" card on that so it looks less "offensive" to someone coming to be seated.

These exist in other colors too, instead of white.

Nobody steals them because it is very rude of course.

I would say a Yad. But there isnt a traditional finger pointer on it.

But i am not completly sure. It may just be for decoration and may have been made in Israel. But it may not be anything of significance. If it didnt state what it is on the reciept then i am not sure. But my closest guess is a Yad which means "pointer" in Hebrew and is used when reading the Torah(Five books of Moses). This is used instead of a fingers natural oil that would mess up the parchment.

It looks like the way the ancient Egyptians depicted their lotus, a flower that grew along the Nile.  Other than that, idk what your object is, looks like jewelry to me.
