I bought a periodic table of elements and on it , it says for Pb-Lead

It says Pb Jead and for I-Iodine It says I-jodine i think thats it can you just tell me what it is please Thank You :P

  1. Where was the table printed? Possibly in some foreign country like China where they do not have a good grasp of the English language. In German the element iodine is written Jod with symbol J but the German for lead is not Jead. If you look at the word lead to a non English person the lower case l(That is lower case L)  could be mistaken for a capital I(That is capital i) and the confusion is compounded by using the J for I as in German iodine This is purely guessing on my part.


  2. You must have bought a German version! In German publications J is often used instead of I :)
