What is too far for you?

How far in miles is considered far for you to drive? What are your limits for non road trip drives? I think 20 miles is too far for me to drive.

Well I do one hour max and my best friend does 3 hours, we all are drivers but I would say 1 hour and 30min would do it for me.

60 miles each way got to be a bit much for my commute to one of my first jobs after highschool. My current commute is about 11 each way. And I've had to resist the temptation to shoot the person that turned a 14 mile commute into a 1.5 hour ordeal because he blocked 3 lanes when his U-joint let go.

I drive 85 miles each way in Northern WI. When the weather is bad it can take me up to 4 hours to get to\from work and I drive a real Jeep. This commute is to long ad as soon as they find my replacement I am working in Wausau not minocqua

Your question actually poses several questions.

My daily commute is 45 miles one way. I'm willing to drive up to 60 miles, if need be.

For non road trips, I take it you mean things like shopping, eating out, entertainment, etc. I tend to stay close to home (<10 miles) for those purposes. Sometimes I will drive up to an hour to go to a park or landmark for a "mini" road trip.

For vacations, I've been known to drive 1500 miles one way. Depends on how long I have and how many people are going. If it's the whole family, it's more economical to drive than fly.

500-650 mile a day is not uncommon, with occasional bumps to 680 miles. These are common numbers for us that bring the supplies to the stores for you, the public, to purchase and use.
