  1. converts engine propulsion to the wheels

  2. in the simplest term, the part that put the engines power to the wheels

  3. transmission is the communication between cb radios

  4. Power transmission is a field of mechanical engineering that transmits power from a motor to whatever you're trying to turn ( in this case, wheels).  Power transmission usually has belts, gears, chains, and shafts doing most of the work. In cars, the problem of power transmission includes shifting the speed ratio (shifting gears), since internal combustion engines generate zero torque at zero rpm.  Gears are pretty much the main thing used.  They are housed in a part of the car that everybody calls "the transmission".

In the power train, the "transmission" is that part that the engine sends its power to. In a front-engine-rear-drive car, it's behind the engine.  In a front wheel drive car, it varies a little bit, but its always close to the engine.  There are several ways of packaging a front drive car.

  5. to be simple, it's the thing that you out it in "D" to move the car

if you drive a car, please stop, and don't drive again

  6. its like a big thingy that turns and junk. it goes the car , it leaks oil sometimes.

  7. If you see a bicycle with all those gears (and chain), that is the equivalent of  the transmission.  It transmits the power from the engine to the wheels, while converting the power (torque) to speed.
