What is up with the police?

just 30 mins ago my friend jumped on to a keep left sign like a dumb prick and of course the police stopped him and gave him a stop and search which is all fair and good however they gave stop and searches to two other of my friends who didn't do anything an in matter of fact tried to stop him now they have to tell their parents that they did nothing can they do that? and are they just stopping kids of any reason now?
