  1. It will be very tiring at first, but sooner or later you'll get used to it and it will be lots of fun. If you really want to become good, you have to focus and go hard in workouts. It's a contact sport where you'll be treading water and swimming all teh time. The double workouts aren't easy, but, like I said, you'll get used to it and hopefully enjoy it.

  2. its fun to play, but really bad for the horse.

  3. In college, a girlfriend of mine was on the womens team. Imagine swimming in a pool where you are constantly being grabbed, pulled, pushed, shoved, kneed, kicked etc. and where you can't touch the bottom of the pool. Imagine that the goal of the game is not what it appears to be, which is putting the ball in the net, but rather trying not to drown.

She was in great shape - lots of swimming, treading water, strong arms and legs, but she also had bruises all over the place during the season.

  4. wet..............

  5. Water polo is an awesome game. The best way to describe it is a cross between swimming and soccer. Lots of teamwork, lots of hand-eye coordination, lots of stamina. There is a lot of emphasis on drills in the training -- first learning an egg-beater kick, to keep your upper body out of the water without using your arms, then passing drills between team members, shooting drills on the goalie, and speed swims across the pool. You aren't going to need any other fitness workouts, but some gentle yoga to stretch your muscles would be a great thing to include in your pre-bedtime routine.

    Enjoy!

  6. The hardest part is making sure the horses don't drown.
