As far as HORSE RACING goes, Welsh Emblem was a Bay Horse bred in Ireland in 1993 by the David's Star syndicate. He achieved very little , managing just two thirds out of 10 runs.

"The" Welsh emblem to be correct is both the Leek and the Daffodil currently. They share the Welsh name "Ceninen"

The Leek is the older, being displayed as an emblem in 1536 and also in Henry V so Shakespear considered the leek to be the emblem and it may have something to do with a battle between the Welsh and Saxons in a field of Leeks.

The Daffodil has become more favourable in recent years, and is probably due to the fact that it is better to wear it as a button hole rather than a leek.
