  1. The best way I would know how to explain it, just like the others, is that the back wheel bounces like a basketball.

Good place to see some wheel hops in watching some NHRA or any other form of drag racing.  They'll show it alot.

  2. This situation is really common at the road course races. It happens when a driver is carrying to much speed down into a corner. The way to enter the corner is to brake in a straight line, and be off the brakes when you turn in. Wheel hop is caused by having to much speed under braking and the wheel starts to hop up and down. Since the tire isn't in constant contact with the ground, it causes the brakes to lock-up intermittently, usually resulting with the driver spinning out.

  3. When the wheel bounces up and down like a basketball.

  4. When they go around a corner, it's like the wheel just jumps on top of the pavement, kinda like if you take off too fast and your car skips and jumps because your tires catch and then they don't.

  5. its when the back wheells bounce up and down. lower tire pressure, and some drivetrain/suspension upgrades may help
