What is wrong with my mouse?

I have a wireless mouse. I love not having a cord, but, why does the arrow jump all over? Sometimes I am playing a game and will point the mouse and the arrow will just start going all over the screen by itself. Or, I will point and it will jump to way off the other side. Sometimes it seems it has a mind of its own. How do I fix this?

I've had similar problems, but with a corded mouse. It is because of the optical part of the mouse. Sometimes it gets dusty, dirty, or starts flickering and failing causing the pointer movements to be wacky.

Try cleaning it, or just replace it.
