What is wrong with my team ?

Im in 4th place in a h2h 12 person league but why ! why not 1st ? here's my team..

Util - C.Gomez

RP - C.J. Wilson

P - R.Franklin

P - R.Oswalt

P - J.Maine

BN - J.Saunders

Im having a hard decision in choosing to drop verlander or not ... anywayss what is my team missing in order to be a 1st place team ?? (only 7 games back of 1st)

Again, it's all about the pitching. You don't have that many dominant #1s ot #2s, and have a weak relief/closers.

you dont have a very good pitching staff, use some OF's to get some better SP

I shot to 1st place with a pretty good batting lineup (Chipper, Uggla, Maggs, Tejeda, McLouth, Nady, David Murphy, Atkins, Soto) and a pretty 50-50 pitching staff: Hudson, E.Santana, Harden, Felix, Javier Vazquez, BJ ryan, Saunders, and Mariano as the main points. I dealt Ryan Church for BJ Ryan and Vazquez days ago, when Church hit his homer first day back from DL.  anyway, the problemo with ur team is your pitchin staff. Your batting lineup is awesome, packed with power, but the bad thing is ur SP's. Can't believe u still have the underperforming so-called aces Oswalt and Verlander on your team. Drop or trade them away instantly, perhaps packaged with some batter for a better SP. Once you acquire one or two real aces (Webb, Lincecum) u'll be set to win ur league. You can also upgrade in the SS, C and perhaps put real power-hitters in the Util spot.
