What is yamas or niyamas?

Define the word in Sanskrit and in English. Describe the yama or niyama concept in detail.

Wow, this is difficult. And I honestly didn't even know at all, that this even existed, and I don't know where to begin to look...but I would just go to blackle.com (same serach engine as google, but it saves energy cuz it's a black screen) and then see what you can find out from that.

These are rules and regulations to be followed by a disciple of Yoga meticulously. It is just not possible to abridge them  in a few paragraphs here. You have to study them from books, websites or under guidance of a Yoga teacher.
