I am interested to see what other people's dinner rotations are.

Monday-

Tuesday-

Wednesday-

Thursday-

Friday-

Saturday-

Sunday-

If you could name your main dish and your side that would be lovely!

(It doesn't have to be exact ... just an idea of what you have on any given week.) Thanks Bunches!

  1. I don't believe in a rotation. There are so many good foods why get into a routine? Cooking for me is a pleasure, not a chore.

With that said, I do have a few go-to meals when I've not prepared for anything. Chicken piccata is a favorite and so easy to make.

I also like a home made bread for dinner and Popovers are a staple in our house. 5 minutes of prep time and they are done in about 50 min baking time.

  2. My dinner is pretty much the same every night.

Either Fish (Salmon, tilapia) or Chicken. with Garlic, Lemon Pepper, Basil.

Brown rice, quinoa, or white rice.

Veggies (Carrots, Mushrooms, Squash, Zucchini, Brocolli) Not all of those at one time. I mix up 2 or 3 of them.

Veggies and Fish or Chicken are steamed.

    A glass of Wine

    And that completes my dinner.

For breakfast I always have raisin bran. and I dont have an official lunch. I just snack on things...yogurt, banana, nuts, orange juice, special k bars.

  3. Monday- chicken with shake and bake on it . Green beans and cheesy rice.

Tuesday- pork chops. Broccoli and cheddar cheese

Wednesday- chilli dogs. French fries. Maybe baked bean. Easy and yummy

Thursday- lasangna. Peas and garlic bread

    Friday- steak. Baked potato. Califlower

    Saturday- pizza

    Sunday- shrimp and salmon.

  4. I don't do a fixed rotation because food isn't sold at the same price all year-round. Whatever is oldest is going to make an appearance on this week's menu. I keep a document on Word with this week's menu ideas on it and refer to it when my memory fails me - there are also a few "wild card" items in case none of those ideas sound good when it comes time to cook dinner. So, this week's menu says BBQ chicken, baked potatoes & salads, Bruschetta, (we have a ton of fresh tomatoes) hot dogs & fries, pasta, split pea soup, nachos, chili, BLTs, salmon patties and meat loaf. That's 10 meals. Whatever doesn't make an appearance this week gets moved to next week's menu and we begin again.

  5. I don't have the same thing on the same day each week...but I do rotate pretty much the same meals.  :)

**Pasta & Sausage/Red Sauce (could be spaghetti, macaroni, rotelle....etcetera)

    **Pork Steaks

    **Pork Ribs

    **Pork Loin

    (we are a mostly-pork eating household  :D )

    **Fried Chicken

    **Baked Chicken

    **Kielbasa (rope sausage)

**Meatloaf (made with ground beef & italian sausage)

Sides tend to be mashed, fried potatoes, stuffing or rice...with peas & garlic or corn for veg.

~~We do have the occasional meal out...and once a week is 'fend for yourself' night.

  6. My dinner rotation depends on what's on sale in the store. LOL.

    Good Luck!

  7. Growing up my Mom had a dinner rotation for certain days.  We always had ham and beans and cornbread on Mondays.  Spaghetti for lunch on Sunday.  Potato Soup for dinner on Fridays.

I have never had a 'dinner rotation' like that.  I have always fixed whatever sounded good on that day.  Mix it up a bit......I need variety!
