Mine would be sitting in a really old country pub, the kind with real wooden beams across the ceiling and stuffed animals that were hunted 90 years ago or so and look well aged. This would located in the wilds of Northumberland or The Lake District. It would be evening, dark and pelting down with rain outside and i would have a cosy warm room booked upstairs. I'm sitting in front of the fire with my mum and in front of me, next to my pint of local real ale is a huge plate with a big, fresh and local rump steak, flame grilled and medium rare. Sharing the plate is a big jacket potato with nothing but real dairy butter and cracked black pepper on it and a heap of onion rings. Depending on my mood, maybe a simple green salad would be there too. A little gravy boat of pepper or brandy sauce would be nestled next to the steak on the side of the plate.

To finish, home made bread and butter pudding with clotted cream ice cream and a single malt waiting to wash it all down...ahh, i'm there.

  8. Perfect meal out is my boyfriend and I are the ONLY ones in the restaurant, a steakhouse up in Amarillo that's designed in what I call equestrian chic... distressed leather, hardwood floors, upscale but comfortable, western without being cheesy. 14 ounce Kobe ribeye, charred on the outside, rare inside, paired up with a baked sweet potato with sweet cream butter and cinnamon, green chili corn, and a huge slice of their cheesecake.

And what makes it the perfect meal out, is 1) I can actually eat it all without feeling like I swallowed a basketball, and 2) it's calorie free.

  9. A GOOD CURRY

  10. Well, we regularly go to Tonys Taverna on Nisi Avenue in Agia Napa, Cyprus, but I just love it in the winter, when all of the tables are back inside, and he has a log fire burning....then I like to sit down to Dolmades ( stuffed vine leaves ) for starter, lamb kleftico, with roast potatoes, sauteed onions, tomatoes, mushrooms and boiled rice, washed down with a bottle of Tonys best red wine....and then finish the evening with a brandy, and maybe a Carribean Coffee!!

You would be able to hear the rain whispering over the soft jazz and the sharp sound of conversation.

A first-rate meal of Pad Thai with California rolls and edamame as sides and champagne in crystal glasses in a booth with cherry wood and silk linens.

Imported silver wear and plates decorating each table.
