What kind of bug?

Recently I've found a small brown bug in my room! And it is so small i'm afraid it will bite an ear or something! And i looked at it closely and it had like yellow spots! I don't know if its a ladybug! But it's all brown and yellow and nothing else!

Is it's body kind of flat (and not because you stepped on it!)?  If so, it could be a Harlequin beetle.  What type of plants do you have growing outside your window?  If you put a picture up, that might help.
