What kind of camera is this??

Question

Does anybody know what kind of cameras these are? They take pictures very clearly and that's what kind of digital camera I'm looking for. If you know please tell me.

The first one is clearly a Pentax Optio. Lens markings and physical characteristics indicate it's probably an M30.

The second one is a bit tougher. It's a Canon PowerShot SD-series for sure. Probably an SD750 (known as the Canon Digital IXUS 75 in Europe) with a silver finish.

They look like toy cameras. If you like very small, the sony cybershot dsc-t70 will do fine, or the Canon IS Elph (both around $300). The Canon Powershot A720 for $180 is a much better camera but a bit larger. You should look for a camera with image stabilizer and face detection if you shoot a lot of portraits.  The A720 also has a real viewfinder, which the very small ones do not have.

Go to a camera store and hold a few cameras. Besides Sony and Canon, Nikon, Panasonic and some Kodak EasyShare are fine choices too.

Any of the current P&S cameras will do that.  It is a matter of being sure you buy one that has IS that will reduce camera movement ... the prime cause blurred photos.
