What kind of cotten?

Is it ok to use carefresh 100% cotten?? Just so my hamsters can make a nest? I use aspen shaving for the whole cage but i want to know if it is ok to use carefresh cotten. I've heard that cotten is bad for hamsters but people tell me to use carefresh is it ok to use its cotten?? please help me!

I'm glad to hear you are using aspen, it is the best. I woudn't use carefresh cotton, it will have chemicals and hamsters can get tangled in it. If you want your hamster to have a nice soft bed, just through some unscented normal kleenex or toliet paper in their cage, and they will make their bed out of that. Hope this was helpful!!!=)

Carefresh is made from paper I've never heard of carefresh 100%  cotton.  But that fluffy stuff that looks like cotton candy is realy dangerous.  It can get stuck in their cheek pouches and tangled around their limbs.  Some people use it with no problems but I wouldn't take that risk.

Don't use any kind of cotton with your hamster.  If they eat it it will bind up their insides and they will die.  They will make their own nest with the aspen shavings.

Carefresh is made with recycled paper and such. It'd be fine for a nest. But toilet paper does just as well, and is much, much cheaper.
