what kind of laptop should i get

i have an hp and its about 4 years old and i want to get a new one

preferably one thats not super $

i was thinking about getting a mac because i have a lot of music and i usually use my laptop for typing essays and stuff for school soo what would you recomend

Macbook Pro is the best, they can get pricey depending on what you put in it, but they are worth every penny!

get a compaq presario c700. i am using it now it is $400. it does all my school things and i have TONS of music i hold all my videos on it to

I have my MacBook since Sept 2006 and the only thing to go wrong is the powercord. it cost 70USD to replace. Other than that, it's easy to use and loads of programs to help you with whatever applications you're doing.

Hi, i just got an hp pavilion dv6000 laptop pc, and all i can say is WOW its wonderful. With the 250GB hard drive you can store thousands of songs. Its incredibly fast and is definitely great for typing essays and all types of projects. The webcam is great, and windows vista isnt as bad as most peope think. Also, so far I have had zero problems with it, yes ZERO!! I honestly think its the protection is much much better than xp. I was going to get a mac too but found that they were WAY over priced and just not worth it... in my opinion

well. i wouldnt get a mac jus because you have a lot of music, itunes is available for pc too. Depending on your major, it might be better in the long run. If you more into business then stick to a pc, it will do a better job. If you into art, music editing or making, then get a mac. If your neither and you simply want a cool nice laptop then get a mac. but kno that there is a lot of programs that wont work wit a mac. I have a mac, but i tell ppl not to get one unless they really need it or have extra money to put out because it aint worth it. i say stick to hp or get a dell. hp is better but if u jus need it for school, i think a dell is fine. good luck!
