What kind of thermometer?

I have been told to chart my basal body temp. Dr. says it's ok to use a regular "fever" thermometer...is this right?

My doc said to use a digital basal body thermometer.  My fertility book (Taking Charge of Your Fertility) says you can use a digital "regular" thermometer.  I use a BBT.

You can use just a regular thermometer but it is better to use a BBT thermo cause they give you a better reading like 36.65 where as a regular one only gives you a 36.6 reading.

The thermo's are pretty cheap and a great investment.

you can, I bought a BBT thermometer because I'm the only one to use it and that's what it's for, it only cost me $17 .... had it been expensive I would have gone for a regular "fever" one.
