What kind of witches are there?

I was told I am a green witch if I chose to be so, but I don't know how you can tell that about someone.

There are lots of kinds.

A green witch works with plants and herbs. I don't know how you could tell that either, unless the person had an obvious interest in such things. Like a green thumb!

A dark/nocturnal witch works with dark energy (NOT evil! Dark and evil are not the same thing!)

Go ahead and ignore Randy's answer, since he clearly doesn't know much about witchcraft. We don't even believe in "satan" much less "do satanic things." We DO cast spells, and some of us are pretty darn proud of our "huge *** couldrons"! (Do you know how expensive those things are?! LOL

There are different types of witchcraft religions.

The most well known one is Wicca.

However, Voodoo is also a witchcraft religion.

There are also Eclectic witches.

And although Wiccans will disagree with this, Satanists & Devil worshippers practice witchcraft too.

I think your person meant you could become a green witch, meaning that there is something about your personality with told this person you are good with plants and growing things.

There are kitchen witches, who use cooking as a way to bring about the results they want

There are eclectic witches, who borrow a bit from lots of places for their workings

Celtic and Hereditary witches draw their spells mostly from their ancestors.

You can even be a Christian witch!  Yes!  Don't laugh!  You simply invoke Jesus and/or Mary in your workings.  Witchcraft can be seen as an active way of praying

A 'Brujo" or "Bruja" in a mexican witch, although brujo are usually considered dangerous and brujas are more like herbalists

There are many others, but those are the ones I can recall immediately.

real witches (modern) are just like us normal people but they are very skilled in herbalism and can do satanic things sometimes.
