  1. It's actually the bacteria that feed off your sweat.  When they reproduce or die, they give off the armpit smell.  So sweat doesn't actually smell like anything, it's just the bacteria.

  2. Same as with urine. Waste products from the body.

  3. The sweat itself doesn't smell -- unless you ate something funky like garlic -- but the bacteria naturally present on your skin flourish in a moist environment (e.g. in the presence of sweat), which is what causes the odor.

  4. Sweat is usually odorless.  The bacteria on your skin, which is always present, is what makes sweat stink when the bacteria and sweat combine!  Gross huh?

  5. the toxins in our body that are released through the sweat medium

  6. Toxins

  7. fresh swaet smells OK. It is its decomposition that causes the stench.

  8. the fact that it comes out your body from your pores

your body may have bad smells in it

  9. It is the bacteria breaking down the sweat that causes body odor.

  13. Apocrine glands make us sweat and some people have more than others. It is really not the sweat that smells so bad; rather, it is the bacteria that forms in the sweat that smells bad.
