What makes you an individual?

Question

What is it about yourself that you believe makes you an individual?

Besides, of-course, being "the only you" etc. etc...

I have been thinking about this, and have found it harder than I had anticipated...

I believe my own thoughts reguardless of what others think, I am who I am due to my experiences in life which has created my own beliefs! Accepting me for who and what I am and liking the person I have become.

This makes me feel like a teenager again; "Who's an individual? Who's a poser?" But as you mentioned it is an obvious fact that we are all different. So, I feel comfortable  in going into more detail as to WHAT makes me different. I am an individual, not necessarily in a positive way though. No one I know (besides the gf) really cares about anything I'm interested in. For example, few things I'm interested in are philosophy, science, politics, and art. I guess those are my favorites, and most people just don't care about that stuff. I can't understand it though, because IMO those things are inherently super important--and I really can't see how anyone could think differently. I'm also an atheist, so that makes me a minority (especially 'cause I live in Texas). As much as I am proud of my free spirit, I really wish I fit in more. There's more stuff but I'm tired because I've been up all night so to h**l with it.

Shailynn has gotten to the core of the matter. If you want to be an individual you must first decide what you think about stuff on your own (or as much so as possible, human interactions are experiences too, and all of us care on some level what other people think.)
