  1. yeah your prescription is pretty bad.. mine is around -5 and -6 last time i checked..

uh reading with a book really close to your eyes.. and in a dim lighted place.. would make your eyes worse..

constantly straining your eyes to see things everyday would make it worse too i believe..

i got contacts because it helps my prescription .. get worse.. slower. our eyes will continue to get worse and not better (unless you get the eye surgery) and the contacts make it go slower.. i cant really word that right. but they're semi soft/hard. it has to be hard contacts.. talk to your optometrist about it. unless you already have contacts..

  2. Depending on how bad your eyesight has gotten lately, you might want to talk to your doc.  If your eyesight has gotten bad suddenly, then this is one symptom of diabetes.  If diabetes runs in your family then I would definately have this checked out.

  3. Don't listen to the rumors about being too close to tv and things like that.  There are condtions called degenerative myopia (nearsightedness) This is where over time your eyes become more nearsighted.  You should definetly have your eyes dilated every year by an ophthalmologist.  You are at risk for certain eye diseases and conditions such as retina issues like detached retina.  Some people are very nearsighted and its ok just keep a close check on it to be safe. Depending on age your eyes usually level out for the most part between 18-21.

  4. LIST OF THINGS:

    WRONG PRESCRIPTION

STARING AT THE SUN OR SUNSET TOO LLNG

    WATCHING TV TOO CLOSE

STARING AT YOUR COMPUTER TOO CLOSE

    SLEEPING WITH CONTACTS ON

    NOT CLEANIN YOUR CONTACTS
