What media player for downloaded music?

I have Windows Media Player, but I really have never used it. I am now beginning to download music with Bit Comet, but cant work out how to save them to WMP? As I find it mind boggling, I thought I might delete it and put something easier in its place. Any suggestions would be very grateful for a woman without much knowledge of these things!! Thanks

  1. I recommend using winamp, whoever told you to get itunes must be daft, cause its very big program on any pc and its complicated.

So get winamp, its by far the best media player, but windows media is just as good, but I prefer winamp, its just the best.....Love it.

    Enjoy!!

  2. Win-Amp Wins Hands Down, easy to use:)

  3. I have to go with Bringer of c, VLC is free, plays nearly anything you'll need and is very simple to use:

  4. Quicktime is the only other safe one I cant think of.

Why dont you just use Limewire or Bearshare You can use them both for free and the music can be played on windows media player. Doesnt make sense to download another player when you already got one that came with your system.

QuickTime ALSO comes with your system.

Why  use iTunes? Unless your gonna get your music from there, which costs money, I dont see a need for it. Why waste your time going online to be able to listen to your music? If your gonna use iTunes then download Limewire. LimeWire Works with iTunes and you can put your music that you downloaded from limewire onto iTunes for free. And you can play your music on Limewire or bearshare as soon as you download it because both of them have players.

    and NOBODY uses Realplayer anymore.

I have it and it always crashes so i dont use it.

  5. As the music is downloaded it will come down in either mp3 or wma usually. The music will then be stored in your folder ie if you use vuse it will be vuse downloads or utorrent utorrent downloads by clicking on any music in that file it will automatically open up in media player. If you want another player winamp is one of the best but then you need to add all your songs to the winamp library. For the time being I suggest stick with media player and maybe look at another player later.

  6. try "vlc", plays everything, even broken video/audio

  7. Right click on the song > open with WMP

  9. iTunes is the way to go. It lets you play all types of files, including the types used by iPod users, which doesn't work in Windows Media Player. Also, you can convert files to any file type from any file type with iTunes, and it's really easy. It's great for searching through your music and for categorizing it.

Do NOT get Real Player. It's c**p, and anyone who recommends it to you is trying to prank you. Also, don't use Quicktime. It comes with the iTunes package, but it's not a very good music player.

  10. itunes or winamp

  11. itunes is easily the best

you can change the song details like artists and albums etc. i think you can with others but i can't figure out how. you can add artwork to the file and browse through the artwork to different music or the browser which is much quicker and easier than any other player. itunes is the easiest to use and in my opinion at least, the best. i now have a perfect music collection with all the artwork and details correct thanks to itunes.

  12. Win-Amp

    it's great.

  13. Try Real Player

  14. Winamp

    It's great. Easy. No hassles.

You can easily add files to your playlist and just as easily delete them. Folder or individual files, there is a little 'plus' button at the bottom to add. You don't even need to move it to a library - just play from whichever folder with a non-permanent-sort-of-playlist.

I also find it to be more tolerant to songs than WMP and less 'codec' or something picky.
