Absolutely Winter. Here's an excellent rule of thumb: if it's a word in the dictionary, spell it like the dictionary entry. It makes the name look more educated. Which one looks like it was sounded out by a six year old: Jurnee, or Journey? Deztynie, or Destiny? Rayevynne, or Raven?

I don't love the name, but it's a ton better as Winter. I would use a more traditional middle name with it to make it feel a bit more versatile. I would not use any other word names, like Grace, Hope, Rose, Lily, May, June, Coral, etc. I would also avoid place names, like Cheyenne, Asia, Savannah, etc.

I like it spelled Winter. I have an irrational dislike for names with the letter "Y" just thrown in them. I actually like the name Winter though. Its unique but not over the top. You could call her "Win" or "Winnie" for short.
