What operating system do i have?

Hello, I am trying to install internet explorer 7 but i dont know what operating system i have, i have a HP windows xp home, but it only gives me these options

windows xp service pack 2 or later sp2/sp3

windows xp pro x64 edition

windows server 2003 x64 edition

windows server 2003 sp1 or sp2

windows server 2003 ia64 edition

how can i figure out wich one to choose?

go to control panel , then open add/remove programs then scroll down. it will list wether it is service pack 2 or sp2/sp3

Try Windows XP service pack 2 or later sp2/sp3. If the installation fails, you probably don't have the service pack. This can be downloaded from http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/

what if in control panel/add-remove programs/ sp2 is listed...but no bytes listed to it's right column?  am thinking it didn't download?
