What should I carve?

I'm just starting to learn how to do woodcarving, since my parents got me a set that I'm just now starting to use 3 years after getting.

I just need an idea on what to carve on these random blocks of wood. Any ideas?

sculptures, tables, chairs, etc. If you want, you can make money off of stuff like this

I would LOVE it if I could carve a carousel.  You know, with all the exotic animals.  There are so many possibles--all the intricate details--all the different times of horses, plus zebras, bears, ducks, ostriges, unicorns, tigers, lions, cougars, dogs, elephants, etc., etc.  I would totally love that.

I learned to carve many years ago using a bar of Ivory soap.

I would say that it has to come from your own imagination or it wont be as creative or you wont have the wat to finish!! Some ideas though....some abstract design you create, a bust, genitals, peace sign, a symbol that means a lot to you....
