What size sea anchor??

Question

What size sea anchor do you recommend for a 24 foot pontoon? We are going to Santee and the wind can be strong at times. We may want to use more than 1 so we can use them to keep the boat angled right.

it's not always about the size of the anchor but the gripping power. i would use a 3kg grapple anchor or 2 smaller ones. if you go with the 3kg just hook it to the bow of the pontoon to keep it facing the wind. to create a better chance of catching a rock or the sand add a short piece of heavy chain before connecting it to the anchor.
