Hey guys,

For my diseases and epidemics class i have to talk about a few diseases and pick two spacial concepts to talk about for each disease. I'm a little confused as to what this would come under, i was thinking spatial interaction but I'm not to sure, can someone varify?

>>When Cholera broke out in Peru, the epidemic spread quickly and, within days, reached all of Peru's coastal departments. The mountain and tropical forest regions were affected 16 and 29 days respectively after the start of the epidemic. The forest regions were affected due to the obvious contamination of water in which Cholera is caught. Poorer counties tend to have worse water supplies than wealthier countries and therefore the effects on the environment vary. Perú's poor water supply and overcrowding of the shanty towns that surround the coastal cities helped to spread this disease and where population growth has been rapid water supplies have become overstretched.

Thanks

  1. I think the Social Science section would be a better place for this question. It ain't that type of space.
