What think about Spain?

I love the place, I have lived here 22 years and wouldn't think of living anywhere else. The people are great, the food is excellent as is the climate, the only problem, we all have, is trafico! In general I think it's a great country that has changed enormously over the past 20 years, mostly for the better. I think it was sad to lose the Peseta and some of the EU laws are not favourable to Spain, but then it's the same in most countries. I would recommend Spain to anyone for a holiday, there's everything here, beaches, skiing, beautiful scenery, culture and history.

I love Spain. I came to live here 3 years ago. I was determined to integrate. It isn't easy starting anew in a different country with different cultures. I'm now a resident & I've since learnt the language and I pay my taxes here. I have Spanish neighbours who are wonderful friendly people. I live in a rural area and I feel privileged to be here.

I lived in Sevilla many years ago as a student, and had wanted to do that for several years before, so the anticipation had been incredible.  I was determined to have the best time possible, and succeeded.

I just went back this past year for a visit, and showed my husband and son how beautiful it is.  They were almost as enchanted as I have always been.

I love  Spain.  If I could manage it, I would live there forvever, only coming back to the US for visits, but the logisitics just aren't favorable.

Everything about Spain is great, except, maybe the work situation, the terrorists, (a relatively minor issue, I think), and the red tape of the government.  According to some, I guess the traffic is an issue (didn´t notice it much on my vacation, but that's the difference between visiting and living in a place, I'm sure.) And the inflation of recent years is a struggle for everyone.

Oh, and last, but not least, the people...among the warmest and best people anywhere!!  (not meaning to allow insult to any of the other wonderful people I've met from all over the place, but the people of Spain have a special warmth that I love).

I think Spain is  the right place to go if you wanna feel ALIVE!!

Its cool.  I have been to Barcelona, Ibiza, and the Canary Islands.  Had a good time in all 3 places.
