What to do Ants!?

Question

my first question is if i keep my house clean why are ants attracted and does it make my home disgusting? there arent very many but your bound to find at least a few in the kitchen and in the living room no matter how much bleach i use or how many little ant trap things i put down. im at a loss for what to do but i feel disgusting for living in a place that has ants. am i over reacting?

Yup you are if there are just few of them. Ants are everywhere and it even outnumber us humans many times over.  Just dont let them in youre pants and youll be okey.

Not necessarily. I have a friend who was very tidy and clean, but my friend still got ants for a short period. I guess he just got unlucky and the queen ant nested there.

     Most people when they see ants they are very disgusted. Me personally if I saw ants in a person house I would be very disgusted.

     The reason why there are still ants is because the ants have probably not nested in your residence. They probably came in because they are hungry and are just looking for food. I recommend finding the nest and killing it.

     Well if they are in your house that is a bad thing. From your information it seems that you have pavement ants. But to know for sure you have to look outside your residence. If the ants are only inside then you have carpenter ants. If you have a colony outside then most likely you have pavement ants.

     First things first, carpenter ants are the most largest. They are known from causing the most damage to a residence. If you have these ants in your residence you should take action quickly by killing the nest or calling pest control.

     Now for pavement ants. They nest under concrete (hence the name) slabs on the edge or under buildings. They occasionally go into a residence to look for food. Also they won't cause any damage but they are a nuisance.

     Oh yeah. I can't help you with the answer to question about over reacting. If I had ants in my house I would call a pest service.
