What to do in Buenos Aires?

i plan on staying there for a week and a half.

Buenos Aires is a major city. No tropical climate, mariachis or salsa. Buenos Aires is like a piece of Europe in South America.

Beautiful architecture, great food, incredible nightlife.

Many theatres and museums.

You can go to Recoleta Cemetery. Calle Florida, where you can get great leather goods for an incredible price.

Puerto Madero, a new neighborhood, nice to walk around, eat or watch a movie.

Palermo, hip neighborhood, many clubs and bars.

San Telmo, on sundays they have an antique fair, full of tourists.

La Boca, the old part of buenos aires, very charming place to visit ( not at night).

Bosques de Palermo, a huge park, to relax and walk around.

Argentineans are friendly, educated and always willing to help. you won't have a problem, most people speak at least some english.

Go to see a soccer match, like Boca Juniors in their stadium. Even if you do not care about soccer it will be something to remember.
