I'm going to Rome for 4 days over the Easter weekend. Definitely going to the Trevi Fountain, Colosseum and Vatican City but are there any other places that are "must-sees"?

  1. just go to the mall!!!!!! that's what I do and i still do i'ts really really fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. You've pretty much covered them all, its just ashame that you only have 4 days to do it all. Don't rush things, experience and take everything in. Its moments like that, which you'll remember forever.

  3. Catacombs

  4. St Marks

  5. Everything is within walking distance in Rome. Just get a good guidebook and a map.

  6. you will see all that you mentioned, they are all pretty close to each other.  there is the roman forum the Spanish steps. if you go to the Vatican, you cant show your knees, you should wear a long dress or pants. the guy who said st marks square never went to Rome, st marks is Venice, another trip you must see. i started north and work my way south, i saw must of Italy, its so beautiful

  7. rome is really beautiful. try to get a tour guide b/c its much better that way.

    must sees: colosseum...vatican city(including the museums, st peter's and sistine chapel)...trevi fountain...pantheon

    have funn!!!

  8. The Pantheon, The Roman Forum, Piazza Navona, Spanish Steps, St. Angelo castle, Baths of Caracalla, Baraccia Fountain and  Via Condetti where all the designers are.

  9. You could never see all the "must-see" sites in 4 days.. it's just too short.

like you said, you should definitely go to the Vatican City, maybe go to a mass there.. even if you're not catholic, it's a great experience.

Also, try to get a tour inside Saint Peter's Basilica, it is absolutely beautiful.

you should also go to the Parthenon and the Roman Forum.

    AND TAKE LOTS OF PICTURES!!

  10. Go to a night-club and meet some cute Italian boys and have fun.  But don't let them talk you into anything too weird.

  11. Do as the Romans do, duh!

    lol, sorry, IDK.

  12. I would definitely see the Roman Forum and the Pantheon.  I would try to see the catacombs, the Piazza di Spagna (Spanish Steps), and the Piazza Navona.  You can walk and see many of the historical sites.  However, since you are on a schedule of 4 days, you might want to consider taking some tours or even using a hop on hop off tour bus.  Vatican City is a bit of a distance from Rome and you will need to take a taxi or the hop on hop off bus.  You could take the public bus; however, I would strongly advise against this.....advice from personal experience.  I have some practical advice about Rome on a website I am creating http://www.travelersguidebook.com/Rome.h...  ...including why I advise against taking the public bus in Rome.  If you look under "Getting  Around" and click on the hop on hop off bus it tells you exactly where the 9 bus stops are for this tourist bus.  Using this bus will allow you to see much more of Rome than if you were only walking.  You also might want to look at the tours section as you can get an idea of what you would like to see....even if you don't book a tour it gives you ideas about things to see/do in Rome.  One other thing you might want to consider especially since you are going at Easter is skip the line tickets for the Vatican and/or Sistine Chapel.  It takes a good day just to visit  St. Peter's Basilica, the Vatican Museums, and the Sistine Chapel so if you can skip the lines it will allow you to see much more.  I have known people to go during peak tourist times and stand in line for hours to see the Sistine Chapel so just think about whether or not it is something you really want to see and try to plan accordingly.  I hope that you have a wonderful time.  Rome is an amazing experience.

  13. Piazza della Republica, Via Nazio Nale, Piazza San Bernardo, Via Veneto (fifth Avenue of Rome), Piazza Navona for some. If you want to get more info than click the following link:
