Are there any places, that aren't that comercial, but are very special and beautiful, worth visiting?

Have you ever been to Rome?

If you have, what did you like best? Why?

    ♦Indulge on their delicacies.

    ♦Experience the nightlife.

    ♦Maybe a li'l shopping.

♦Spend romantic & quality time with my loved ones.

  2. There is a small lounge that is called "The Ice Club" it's located on Via della Madonna dei Monti. Call to find out when open. I think Thursday-Sunday

    Phone number 06-97845581

There is an entrance fee (15 Euros) includes one drink. Everything is made out of ice. The walls, the seats( they put furs on the seats to make it more comfortable) even the glass you drink from is made of ice. When you enter the lounge, you will be given a cloak to wear over your clothes because the temp is below freezing.

    Worth the visit.

Rome is one of the finest and best cities in Italy, very romantic. My hb and I took a 21 day tour of Italy and spent 5 days in Rome. Everything in Rome is worth seeing. Loved it all. The food, the people, the sights, Vatican, the churches. Can't wait to go back.

    Have a great trip)

  6. I have been to Rome.  i don't think it is all that ..no more then any other city around the world .. it has a few historic places .and that's about all ..as for the people 0 points

  7. What the Romans do.

LOL...seriously, the best little adventures are among the people who live there, not the touristy places.  Ask the concierge at your hotel what his favorite places are.  Try to ask some of the local artisans and shop keepers what they think you should see and do.

  8. Well i went this past summer, and i went to the american emmbasy, the collouseum, sometin really pretty is florence, take a train, and when iin florence go to a cameo store, they carve necklaces, rings, broaches, and earrings with shell and it as a lady on it and they are so intricate. also go to the VAtican city absolutly BEAUTIFUL. another place is the one and only trevvy fountain OMG beautiful take this advice. oh ya duh Shoppn!!!!!!!!!!!!! and eat the food AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 9. Visit Trastevere-->an extremely nice district south of the river, great to have a drink or just hang around

    Testaccio-->district where you'll find most well-attended clubs

Montecarlo-->absolutely the best pizza in Rome (not far from Corso Vittorio Emmanuele)

Tazza d'Oro-->a cafe near Pantheon, where you HAVE to try granita di caffe

Giolitti-->also in the area close to the Pantheon, the best ice-cream

Don't go to any restaurants near Vatican, their quality is abysmal.

  10. I have been to Rome, but most places to see/visit are commercial and or crowded. The one thing I enjoyed was just walking around the city. I started at the Spanish steps facing them and headed to my right. There are parts of old Rome where they just built over and did not tear down. It lets you look back in time!!

Do not miss some of the commercial sites, Vatican City and the Sistine Chapel (closed on Tuesday's)

  11. When in Rome , do as the Romans do .
