What to do while in London?

I'm backpacking through Europe this summer, and I'd like to find some cool things to do while in London. I want to avoid the huge tourist traps and such. I want to see more of the real London.

London is the best place in the world,walking and hanging around is even a pleasure anyway if you want a viewing of  real London I think you must go in the east side, visit the places of Jack the ripper around Whitechapel rd and the market is a very coloured and various one. You can walk till Victoria park through London fields too that's a nice area to see.There's another place I like to go and it is a kind of cemetery in the middle of the city in Saint Martin Le Grand,there's a gate and some stairs to enter ,people dead in that cemetery were buried there in the 1800's because they saved lives of other people.Then you can go in greenwich park up on the hill, there is a museum with all the maps in the world from the very first one of Claudio Tolomeo till now. You can visit Hampstead and have a rest in Saint louis patsserie where you can find the best cakes in London and end up your day with a real italian pizza in west end frognal lane NW3, " la smorfia" restaurant.Hope it will be suiteble for you!!!
