i am going to a friends wedding this weekend and am having trouble with making sure my fiance and i dont clash. i'm wearing a black strapless dress with light pink trim. he will be black slacks and......???? he doesnt want to "match" me by wearing a light pink shirt. he has almost every other clolor in the rainbow of dress button ups. i don't like the idea of black on black because it will look like we belong at a funeral. and i don't like white on black because i don't think it will look good against my dress.

should i just force him to wear pink? what other color shirt would look ok? (other than white or black)

  1. do a color that will go well with pink.  make him wear a pale blue shirt or pale yellow.

  2. i think i can help you.what you need to wear for the wedding is some thing that make you look like a standart woman and that will get attraction from the other people.i think you need to wear something traditional but make you look owesome and be your own self.

  3. he could wear almost any colour and not worry about it. he should wear whatever colour best suits his complexion and colouring and your little bit of pink trim shouldn't be an issue.  however if you won't allow him to wear all black, which would look very s**y and handsome, and you won't allow him to wear white and black then what about a green or blue and believe it or not orange would really look good.

  4. OKay, don't be too quick to rule out black on black. Done correctly it can look very sleek and stylish. I would recommend a black shirt with a pink tie to match the trim on your dress. If  this is just not an option for you guys, then remember that greens often go very well with pink. They are pretty versatile, and can pretty much work along the whole spectrum. A gold color might work as well. Is the wedding in the evening? If so, a safe bet would be a charcoal grey. Not gonna make as much of a statement, but it will look fine with the pink, regardless of the shade. =)

  5. Just don't wear white, only the bride is supposed to be in white, and try not to stand up the bride. (PS- Usually not so great to wear black either, black is symbolic of death). Try a casual dress, maybe something with a delicate pattern that isn't too much. Go to-

  6. I would go with a baby blue shirt. Pink and blue are perfect!

  7. Don't force him to wear pink - it's not senior prom, you can both dress like individuals. And you're not members of the wedding party, so there is no reason to worry about "matching."

A light blue or light green dress shirt is classic and always appropriate.

Don't be high-maintenance. He's a grown man. Let him wear what he wants.
