A nice, dressy black skirt or black pants with a nice dressy blouse. And, black dressy shoes. Add a jacket if you wish, and maybe a strand of pearls.

i'm going out saturday. wearing cute dress, wedges, and a ponytail to make it a little more casual. going to cafe 225, casual but more upscale than some.

Benihanas is not a nice restaurant. Wear what ever you like.

When you are ready, seek out local, fine dining restaurants. Fine dining restaurants are run by professionals, dedicated to every aspect of your dining experience. Talented Chef's prepare your food rather than "food handlers" getting paid minimum wage.

Stay away from the chains. They are good at taking your money, but not good at providing good food, service or ambiance.

When you understand the difference between Benihanas and a nice restaurant you may wear what you are comfortable wearing. Usually, a sports coat, shirt (tie optional) are good choices. (The pants don't matter much, khakis, jeans or dress pants.)
