What was Green Bay thinking?!

Why would they trade Brett Favre? I know, this is a dumb question, but seriously! To the JETS?! Brett Favre came out of retirement, and his career is over again.

No. They are not dumb. The guy retired and had thought about doing so for the last 3 years or so. They drafted Aaron Rodgers 4 years ago or so, and they have been grooming him to be the starter once Favre retired. And now this offseason that happened and Rodgers took over as the starter in mini camp and in training camp. So Green Bay was moving on with Rodgers as their starter and now all of a sudden Favre wants to come back. They feel comfortable with Rodgers leading their team and Favre was just a distraction. So they let him go and they got an extra draft pick out of it.
