im the captain f an u14 rugby team and jus b4 d game iv ta give a speech in d huddle iv ta giv a speech! its a big game(a semi final)!

People are motivated by different things - some need confidence, some need aggrivating, some need inspiration...

I've found that appealing to individual motivations in the game is pretty effective - that is, looking at what you enjoy doing and putting yourself up to getting the most out of the game. You can try and stir up a champions speech, but the truth is, there'll be some games where some players have forgotten why they play the game.

If you enjoy tackling, picture yourself smashing a guy backwards. If you enjoy rucking, picture yourself driving the opposition pack back off the ball. If you enjoy running with the ball, picture youself attacking the gaps in the field. If you can make someone hungry to play, then that's a good foundation to build the competitive attitude on top of.

I'm sure there are other methods that are more useful in certain situations, but it's always good to remember the fundamentals.
