A variety of factors could have caused this... it's old, it's been exposed to something unfortunate, it has separated.  

It depends on how much you had.. A small amount should have very limited affects.  Remember the solution to polution is dillution.  Or in other words drinking lots of water will help, but depending on how sensitive your stomach is you may be a uncomfortable.

If your ketchup is infected with yeast it could become carbonated and taste like alcohol. Throw it away!
