Whats a good cell phone?

ok my phone now is S**t. I'm getting a new one sometime in september. I'm a 14 year old boy who basically only texts and hardly talks on the phone. i like black and red. so any phones you think fit me please say. thanks

I have the voyager and LOVE it! It somes in black. It has a really large qwerty keyboard so it is really easy to text. I text constantly, so it is a really good texting phone. Also it has a touch screen which is fun! It is on Verizon.

For red you could get the enV 2 in maroon, which is kind of redish, but the color seems too girly for a boy. Plus it is really ugly and has a small keyboard. So i think the voyager is the best personally.

T-Mobile has sidekick options where you pay monthly for the text-only plan, unlimited texts, and then a per-minute charge only for voice.  Other companies have similar plans, as well as a few comapnies (including Sprint/Nextel) that has something like 400 minutes + unlimited text on the monthly.  Personally I do not like the style of the T-Mobile sidekick phone because of the way you pull it out and the annoying-IMO scrollbar....   thing.  I do not like the software on RAZR phones but most people like them.  A Helio or Blackberry is good if you're texting because ot has a full "keyboard" and can do certian other things even without a subscription.  Verizon and Sprint have "data plans" in which you are given unlimited access to everything (meaning txt/pic/etc msgs as well as internet), except for voice.  Helios are black and look kinda like a PSP (Blackberrys are black too but look...    boring).  You need to tell us a price range if you want specific phones suggested - the ones I have mentioned are $200 or more.  Virgin mobile phones are ugly as h**l, though some are black and red or black and kinda ivory, I would not look into them.  Of course it would make a lot more sense if you select the plan and company before the phone.  Saying you text mostly is irrelevant unless you either a) want an expenseive "phone" which has a keypad, or b) have not yet selected a service plan or are willing and able to switch plans.  You say you are "getting a new one in September" - does that imply you are on contract with Verizon who sends you a new phone every 2 years?  If so there is a very short list of phones that they will show you, or go to their site with instructions.  I can ask my dad for more info on that.  If you say you "like black and red", that seems like you are more worried about the outside design of the phone ratherthen software, functunailty, and ease of use.  If that's true you don't really need anyone's advice as it is solely a matter of personal opinon.  If you are on Verizon then various RAZR phones are available for free on the 2 year thing.  RAZRs are thin and not as durable as they should be.  I don't like RAZR's OS (menu options).  Most people love RAZRs.  I weon't be able to see any updates you add.

The LG Dare by Verizon definently. The virtual keyboard is actually pretty easy to use. Plus you can text the regular T9 way, or even write out what you want to say! 3 Diff. ways to text =D. The camera on the phone is amazing, and I LOVE the pictures it takes! Has lots of fun features such as a drawing pad. Easy to send picture, video or voice messages too. It's a AWESOME phone. Definently worth it!

The LG rumor comes in black dark blue white and orange,

it slides out the side and has a QWERTY keybored,

its pretty small and i like the look,

im 13 and its pretty appealing to me :)

and the screen flips when you turn it :)

hey! im 14 too and i have the venus but i hate it cauese i text too much and its hard without a keypad i would say get the vogager or the dare :D that's what im getting as my next phone <3 hope this helped !
