  2. Depends on what you're looking for.  Mambo and Wordpress are good.  But if you're experienced and want something a little better I'd go with something that conforms to JSR 186, like Liferay.

  3. The market leader (by miles) is IBM's Websphere Portal Server, but it's huge and expensive. Apache Jetspeed is lighter weight and free, but it doesn't have the same .functionality.
