Anyone know the diff between a plaque asssay and transformation assay? I know about plaque assays....

  1. The plaque assay is more generalized typically used to isolate where the latter specializes in finding transformations, hence the name.  


  2. The Syrian Hamster Embryo (SHE) assay is a short-term in vitro test designed to assess a substance's carcinogenic potential based upon its ability to cause morphologic transformation of SHE cells.
