Whats an Anime Conviction?

I've heard of people going to these places... So im wondering what are they and what do they do?? do they party as their favorite anime character or something??

Example: Anime Expo.

It's where people who really like anime go and hang out. There are also displays, games, and people selling things.

You can cosplay (dress up as an anime character), but it's not mandatory. They just appreciate anime basically.

Anime conventions are where people dress up as their favorite anime character or something and talk about anime, buy anime/manga books and art, stuff like that. Basically like a car show or something, but with manga/anime, I'm guessing.

its a place where u get together with other anime fans and u can cosplay or watch skits nd buy stuff...

I think you mean anime "CONVENTION"

Its like a fair. Only in this, you can see most of the people dressed up as animes..

They hold contests for best portrayal of anime characters or as they (anime addicts/fans) call it "COSPLAYS"

Also most people have bazaars or stalls selling different anime goodies, like figurines or mangas and so on...

Sometimes at conventions, J-pop artist are invited (those who sing the openings of animes...or japanese bands)

I heard it was tons of fun in an anime convention and no two anime conventions are the same..

Why don't you try to go in one? So you'll see what i'm talking about...hahahahha
