Whats better, ipod or mp3?

Well, my mom has a mp3 and i have an ipod, hers lasts like 2 weeks without dieing, mine lasts like a day, but whats better?

First of all, an iPod IS an mp3 player.  It just has more capabilities depending on which you have.  I prefer iPods, because they're so easy to use with iTunes and have (in my experience) better sound quality than any other brand of mp3 player.

All my other mp3 players in the past don't compare to my ipod.

It depends on the mp3 player, really, but I bet you used your iPod more than your mom used her mp3 player. iPods are very expensive, but I bet your mom's mp3 player has better specifications and performance. I guess the answer to the question really depends on your definition of "better," but I if you mean by features, looks, performance, and originality, the mp3 player would win. The only thing the iPod has would be the scroll wheel and having the one that EVERYBODY has.
