Whats in somerset??

Question

We wondered what somerset was like for a holiday destination,considering we like england!!I have been told the beaches are just like mud banks but it looks quite nice to me.I would like to know what people think of the beaches and ive also been told the area is old fashioned , so there again , what do people think ?? Do you live there, or have you been???

It's 'old fashioned' I guess but that's what I like personally--can't bear modern ugly buildings,clubs etc. A lot of it is quite rural.famous siteseeing spots are glastonbury Abbey (legendary burial place of king Arthur),Glastonbury Tor,Wells Cathedral,cheddar Gorge caves and Wookey Hole cave. The beach you are thinking about is probably Weston Super Mare which can be quite muddy.
