He agreed with bush 95% of the time. Why are most of the Republicans and some Democrats crazy about him? Obama is a very intelligent man that wants the best for his country. Obama may not have a lot of experience but neither did JFK, or Bill Clinton...and they where great presidents.Just tell me why, McCain over Obama? Why when Obama wants to end the war while mcCain even said this war will never end. Is it just because hes a Republican? Its confusing to me..

  1. Absolutely nothing!

  2. The thing is  that while both want the best for this country their visions for this country are very different. Please don't take what I am about to say the wrong way it is not an attack merely how I see it, so feel free to correct me.

Obama sees this country with a bigger government more involved with peoples daily life. What health care you should get, how much money you should make, when and how much vacation time you should get. What kind of car you should drive and such.

Republicans (and yes I said Republicans and not McCain) see a country where people get benefits from what they do and how they do it not the government. Government is usually the cause of problems not the solution to them and reason for this is not because the wrong people are running the government it is just that government can't do these things. Government must be all things to all people therefore it is not good at much.

Foreign policy when it comes to the Middle East and terrorism Obama thinks we just need to talk to them and explain we mean them no harm. Republicans believe that if the people in the Middle East had freedom and democracy they would have hope for the future and with hope you do not strap a bomb to yourself or fly an airplane into a building.

  3. EGO.

  4. I find him a mediocre presidential candidate, but I still prefer him over Obama.  Obama is too left, loves that nanny-state, believes in compulsory volunteersim, is severely inexperienced, and surrounds himself with radicals.

  5. Well, if you recall he hasn't always agreed with Bush. But as a republican senator he does have to vote the way his party wants him to. So whether he agrees or not, he is obligated.  And since he's old <grin> he's gained experience that just comes from, well....living a long time.  So when he says we'll be in this war a long time it's because he knows, first hand from Vietnam, how you can't just suddenly pull out of a war without reprocussions; even if it is a war we shouldn't have been in at all - again, like Vietnam.  And people like him because he has integrity; but he is human and makes mistakes. He will honestly say things like "it was my fault" or "i made a mistake".  How often do you hear that out of politicians mouths?

And while Obama seems to be a good person too. He just hasn't been a senator long enough to have a track record yet. I wish he'd have waited 4 more years to run.

  6. Not a d**n thing.
